We took a significant step forward by incorporating Yooil Infrastructure Private Limited a subsidiary company in India. This year marked a groundbreaking milestone for Yooil as we secured the order for India's first-ever air-filled Rubber dam project.
Going forward we also undertook India’s first ever canal Lining project, utilizing cutting-edge Bituminous Geo-Membrane (BGM) technology. This strategic move allowed us to expand our operations and offer comprehensive engineering solutions in the Water Management sector.

Building on our achievements, Yooil received a notable work order for Maharashtra's first Air-Filled rubber dam. Science and Technology have been evolving continuously and have provided new developments in every domain. One such development is Bituminous geo membranes (BGM) that are in use in many countries for quite some time. BGM is known to improve flow conditions and offer fast laying apart from sustainability, this makes it a good choice. It is time for India to consider it as an alternative for lining to witness its effectiveness. Madhya Pradesh has already done it in one of its projects. It is time for the engineers and decision makers to take bold steps in experimenting with research based new products.
Rubber Dam technology has revolutionized the water resource sector globally by virtue of its unique features of inflation & deflation for ponding water & enhance water head as per requirement. It's cost effective, easy to install & maintain in comparison to conventional steel gates. Most important part is its operational system which is controlled by air only whereas conventional gates required sophisticated arrangements for its operation and sometimes get jammed during high flood due to high pressure of water creating panic situation in emergency. All above reasons led to increase in acceptability of Rubber Dams
Due to several canal breaches at Pench project, we decided to use bituminous geomembrane to arrest seepage in canal lining project, and it has exceeded our expectations. The material's exceptional resistance to water permeation and UV degradation ensures the long-term integrity of our water carriage system. Bituminous geomembrane is an innovative and permenent remedy for any waterproofing or seepage control application.
Rubber dams have revolutionized our ability to optimize water for irrigation and reducing water wastage. We have implemented rubber dam successfully to store the river flow pre & post mansoon in our region.They offer a safer, more reliable solution compared to traditional gates, and their low maintenance needs have significantly reduced operational cost.
I have been associated with the hydropower industry for many decades. The rubber dam technology looks very promising to me with numerous creative applications in water management systems. Water is a critical resource and needs to be cared for in every possible manner. Rubber dams are unobtrusive and ecofriendly, easy to install and safe and can be effective as diversion structures for low head hydropower applications. By using this technology I feel the overall development and implementation phase of hydropower projects can be substantially optimised and can also yield cost benefits. I therefore recommend incorporating rubber dam technology in water infrastructure projects, including hydropower.
